Corey Maurer | Technology M&A | Kroll

Corey Maurer is a Vice President in Kroll’s Technology and Business Services Investment Banking group based in Los Angeles. He is focused on advising tech companies on mergers & acquisitions and raising capital.

Corey’s clients have included founder-owned, venture-backed, and PE-backed businesses across several sub-sectors of technology (software / SaaS, HCIT, Internet, and Digital media), and across diverse transaction types including sell-side and buy-side M&A and private financings of equity and debt. His representative mandates include; the sale of LuxSci, a leading provider of secure communication software to Main Capital Partners, the sale of Resonate, a leading consumer intelligence software provider to Zelnick Media Capital (ZMC), the sale of whiteCryption, a leading provider of application shielding software to Zimperium (a portfolio company of Warburg Pincus and Softbank), the sale of AS Software, a developer of mission-critical ultrasound reporting and digital imaging software to AEA Growth, the sale of Instec a leading provider of cloud-based insurance software for P&C carriers, brokers, and MGAs to Instec (a portfolio company of GI Partners), the sale of AIA Contract Documents, a scaled and highly profitable construction software business, to True Wind Capital; the sale of NuSource Financial to Mosaic Capital Partners; the debt / equity capital raise for Clover, Inc. a leading online dating business.

Prior to joining Kroll, Corey worked at a boutique investment bank (acquired by American Discovery Capital) advising tech and tech-enabled companies on mergers & acquisitions and raising capital. Corey started his career with EY in the Financial Services Advisory practice advising large asset managers including hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital firms.

Corey earned his BA in Political Science and Accounting from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He is a FINRA-registered representative and possesses Series 7, 79, and 63 licenses and is a Certified Public Acountant (CPA).
