Prior to joining Kroll, Howard served as Senior Systems Analyst at nTelos Wireless, a Virginia-based wireless telecommunications provider. Before that, he held the title of Principal Architect at Novitas Analytics, LLC, where he was the primary architect for all software design and implementation for a scalable service-oriented architecture that leveraged natural language processing technologies providing insight into human resource assets and evaluate potential employment candidates.
Howard was also a Solutions Architect at Fiserv, responsible for the design and maintenance as the lead architect for a major bank website, and Chief Architect at FastLine Technologies, a startup company that created automated compliance monitoring software for corporate customers.
From 2006–2011, Howard acted as Solution Architect for Altep, Inc., a litigation support company based out of Texas, to create a new legal document review platform Inspicio™. This platform combined natural language processing with learning algorithms to analyze large document collections and optimize the activities of document reviewers. These technologies allowed clients to dramatically reduce costs related to document review while reducing the amount of time needed to prepare for litigation.
Previously, Howard also held the position of Principal Software Engineer at America Online (AOL), where he led the development of the software systems that managed the advertising commitments of the Interactive Marketing group, which represented approximately 30% of AOL’s revenue and an estimated 20% of all online advertising at the time. He oversaw the design and development of systems for contract management, creative management and advertising delivery scheduling.
