Prior to joining Kroll, Mehmet was a director at Blackrock Expert Services, which was acquired by Kroll in 2020.
Mehmet has practiced forensic delay analysis and been involved in the preparation of expert reports on delay and disruption analysis for a wide range of projects. He has assisted appointed delay experts on major hospital, medical laboratory, office and residential buildings, motorway, and airport construction projects in the Middle East, Australia and the UK.
Further to his growing expertise, Mehmet has been appointed as the delay expert for several disputes in relation to a complex health care facility and a multistory student accommodation project in the UK, and served multiple reports during adjudication proceedings. He has also prepared expert reports and given oral evidence as part of several adjudications for a complex medical laboratory project.
Previously, Mehmet gained extensive experience by taking part in international roads, infrastructure and renewable energy projects, including on-site working experience. His experience includes various aspects of a project cycle from initiation to completion through tendering, procurement, claims and contract management, and dispute resolution.
Mehmet has served as a proposals manager, technical office and procurement engineer, feasibility analyst and arbitration team member assisting legal counsels and delay experts for international arbitration cases.
Mehmet holds M.S. degrees in construction management from the University of Reading and in geotechnical engineering from Middle East Technical University. He also minored in geographical information systems and remote sensing (GIS/RS). He is fluent in both Turkish and English.
