As President of VAS, Michael leads the company’s Financial Reporting and Tax Valuation practices, Alternative Asset Advisory, Transfer Pricing, Tax Services and Fixed Asset and Real Estate Valuation services.
Prior to his current role, Michael led Kroll’s Latin America practice, was the global leader of the Industrial Products Valuation Industry practice and also served as the New York City Leader. Before that, he was with Coopers & Lybrand LLP’s Valuation Services Group, which merged with PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Corporate Value Consulting practice and was later bought by Standard & Poor’s. Kroll (formerly Duff & Phelps) acquired the Standard & Poor’s Corporate Value Consulting group in 2005.
Michael received a B.S. in business administration with concentrations in economics, finance and marketing from the University of Richmond. He also holds an MBA with concentrations in finance and accounting from the Boston College Carroll School of Management, a J.D. from Boston College Law School, and the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. Michael is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He has also completed the exam requirements to be Certified in Entity and Intangible Valuations (CEIV).
