Prior to joining Kroll, Norman was President of the Equity Property Tax Group at Faegre Baker Daniels. Before founding the Equity Property Tax Group at Faegre Baker Daniels in 2007, he was Vice President of property taxes for Equity Office Properties Trust in Chicago. He also was Founder and President of its subsidiary, Equity Property Tax Group LLC, formerly the nation's largest publicly-held office building owner/manager. Norman also spent 18 years with Equity Group Investments, Inc. and its predecessors in Chicago in various capacities, including internal audit, mortgage services and property taxes.
Norman earned his M.S. in accounting at DePaul University Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Miami and his B.A. from the University of Colorado-Boulder. He is a Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (CMI), the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Norman’s membership and activities have included: International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO); Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT); National Property Taxpayers Association (NPTA); National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT); Chicago Chamber of Commerce (CCC); Chicago Development Council Tax Committee (CDC) and the Chicago Building Owners and Management Association (BOMA).
Norman Quinn is a managing director in the Chicago office of Kroll. He is a member of the Property Tax Services practice, leveraging more than 30 years of experience in real estate, finance and taxes. He combines a strong background in real estate ownership with valuation knowledge and property tax matters. Norman’s experience has focused on creating and executing tax policies and strategies, working nationally with clients to improve profitability, cost control, transparency and reporting in operationally challenged environments.
